Oil Cap Goaltender Braxton Burdeny has been named an MJHL Star of the week for March 9th – March 15th, 2026.
The veteran Goaltender closed out the final week of the regular season in impressive fashion, leading the way with a perfect 3 wins while stopping 92 of 97 shots faced. Burdeny was a steady and reliable presence between the pipes, giving the Oil Caps confidence in every game down the stretch.
He highlighted his week with a 33-save shutout against the Blues, turning aside every opportunity that came his way. He followed that performance with another standout effort, making 40 saves in a hard fought win over the Pistons, proving his ability to rise to the occasion in key moments.
With momentum on their side, Burdeny and the Oil Capitals now turn their focus to the postseason as they prepare for their first-round playoff matchup against the Titans, looking to carry that strong play into the games that matter most.
