Capitals Face A Loss To Terriers

It was Hockey Night in Oil Country, as the Virden Oil Capitals took on the Portage Terriers. The first period was a back and forth game, but the Terriers found the back of the net first at 6:37 in the first to make it  1-0. 

The Oil Capitals started out the second period strong and were awarded a penalty shot at 13:12 after Mack Hardy was tripped up on a breakaway. Hardy made a great move but came up short as the Terriers goalie made the save. The Terriers scored their second goal of the game at 19:14 in the second period making it 2-0. 

In the third period, the Terriers scored on a power play to make it 3-0.  The third period was full of energy and emotion but the Capitals couldn’t find the back of the net.

Final score: 3-0 Terriers. Final Shots on goal: 40 Caps 26 Terriers.
