Virden, MB – As the Virden Oil Capitals get set to welcome the Winnipeg Blues in Game #1 of the MJHL Quarter-Finals on Friday night, the team is pleased to announce that the game is proudly presented by Chicken Chef!
With the 20th anniversary of Brent and Rosie Plaisier’s ownership here in Virden approaching (April 1st), Chicken Chef and the hockey team are proud to bring back the “Chicken Toss” for the 2nd time this season.
Along with the Chicken Toss, the Oil Caps are guaranteeing a 50/50 pot of $2000.00 (Take Home)!!
Fans will be encouraged to purchase numbered rubber chickens on the concourse during the first two periods of the game.
During the 2nd intermission, fans who can throw their rubber chicken onto the Chicken Chef logo at centre ice will have a chance to win some fantastic prizes.
Money raised from the purchase of the chickens will go to the Oil Caps Foundation!
Chicken Chef also announced a friendly wager between Brent (Virden Location) and the manager of Portage Avenue Chicken Chef in Winnipeg!
The loser of the series (Oil Caps or Blues) will see their local restaurant manager work a shift in the opposing town’s location while wearing the enemy jersey!
The Oil Caps will also be selling tickets on their 2016 Playoff Raffle with Jets Tickets and an Oil Caps Bar Fridge up for grabs!
In partnership with Chicken Chef, a couple of Oil Caps players will be serving coffee at the restaurant on Wednesday afternoon from 2:30-4:00. Be sure to stop in for a coffee and wish the boys luck!

Tickets will go on sale online on Thursday Morning at 9:00am.
