Caps Earn Third Win Of The Season Over Natives

Caps earn their third win of the season over the Neepawa Natives, 1-0. Patrick Zubick proved to be solid between the pipes for the Caps as he stopped 36 shots for the shut out

The first 30 minutes was a goalie stand-off as neither teams could find the back of the net. Shots on goal after the first were 14-9 in favour of the Natives.

The Caps found the back of the net at 1:02 in the second period to make it 1-0. The powerplay goal was scored by Oil Caps Captain and his first of the season #22 Mack Hardy assisted by #10 Tanner Lewis and #2 Marco Creta. The shots on goal in the second period were 13-8 in favour of the Oil Caps. 

The third period was once again a goalie showdown, with no goals finding their way through either goalie. The Final score was 1-0 Caps, and final shots on goal were 36-26 in favour of the Natives.

Oil Caps next game is at home on Saturday, October 8 against Dauphin Kings – puck drop is at 7:30p.m.
