CARSON WRIGHT NAMED TO RBC – MJHL COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR TEAM

Oil Capitals forward Carson Wright has been named to the RBC Community Ambassador team for the 2024/25 season.

RBC Community Ambassadors must display outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and a commitment to volunteerism. RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to their communities where they play.

Carson is a fast, dynamic forward with great skill and works very hard. He has displayed his citizenship through his volunteerism in the Town of Virden and surrounding communities. Examples of his volunteer participation include the following:

  • Goulter Elementary School – Breakfast program
  • Mary Montgomery Elementary School – Intramural soccer
  • Virden Ag Society – Moving corral panels
  • Virden & Area Food Cupboard – Moving meat
  • Reston floor hockey – Ref & coaching
  • Sherwood Nursing Home – Decorating resident’s doors for Christmas
  • Westman Nursing Home – Decorating Christmas cookies and other Christmas activities with the resident’s

Each Ambassador is recognized at an RBC Game Night and will be honoured by a donation from RBC to a school in their local community. At the conclusion of the regular season, one RBC MJHL Ambassador will be named as the recipient of the RBC Community Award, which comes with further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.
