Dalke Doubles Up Winnipeg

November 27

Virden, MB – Ben Dalke had a pair of goals and Sean Kuehn made 25 saves for the Oil Caps in a 2-1 win over the Winnipeg Blues on Friday night at Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

After a stretch of games where the offense came in bunches, fans were treated to a tight checking low scoring affair.

Dalke opened the scoring in the first period on a great setup from Drake Bodie and Dylan Thiessen.

The Blue would tie things up in the 2nd period, Matt LeBlanc netted the equalizer on the tail end of the Blues 3rd man advantage.

Dalke would get the eventual game winner late in the 2nd, Mack Hardy and Tyler Kirkup earned assists.

In the third, the Caps defense shut down any opportunity allowing just 9 shots on goal, sealing the victory.

With the win, the Caps move to within one point of 4th place in the MJHL standings, right on the heels of the Blues.
