Foundation Makes Year End Donations

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals Foundation is proud to announce over $16,000 was donated to various community groups as part of the 2015/2016 Season! 

The Oil Caps Foundation has been an integral part of Virden and the community since the club’s inception in 2012 with over $200,000 being put back into various initiatives. 

2015 – 2016 Season Donations

Virden & Area Day Care – $1800
Virden Royal Purple – $1475
Virden Lions Club – $1675
Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 8) – $5055
Heart & Stroke Foundation – $1500
Virden Trap Club – $4950
Strays That Can’t Pay – $870

Staff from each of these groups donated their time and efforts to ensure the Oil Caps Game Day experience remains the best in the MJHL.

These groups provide security, 50/50 sales, bar staff and concession help at each and every Oil Capitals home game during the season.

The Oil Caps are proud to be involved with these great groups in the area and continue to strive to make our community a better place.
