Hardy, Ross Lead the “Way”

Virden, MB – Mack Hardy and Nolan Ross each had 2 goal nights as the Caps picked up their 3rd straight win, 5-1 over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Thursday night. 

Coming off an 8-3 win on Tuesday, the Caps found the back of the net 5 times, with Nolan Ross coming within a goal of his 2nd consecutive hat-trick. Ross now has 5 goals in 2 games. 

Meanwhile, for the 2nd straight home game Mack Hardy skates away with a pair of goals and first star honours. 

The Caps took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission, and after a scoreless 2nd period, snapped 3 straight goals to emerge with the victory. 

Ben Dalke had the Oil Caps other goal. He would finish with a goal and an assist on the evening.

Sean Kuehn made 28 saves for his 12th win of the season, while Brandon Holtby kicked aside 33 on a busy night in the Wayway crease. 

Drake Bodie and Kyle Bird made their Virden debut’s, Bodie picked up an assist in the third period. 

The Oil Caps will quickly reload and take on the Neepawa Natives tomorrow night.
