VIRDEN, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 6th Annual Virden Oil Capitals Hockey School, proudly presented by Mainline Motors Virden.
Taking place September 11-13, 2026, at Tundra Oil & Gas Place, this three-day hockey school provides young athletes with an opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the upcoming hockey season in a fun and positive environment.
The hockey school is open to male and female players in the U7 to U9, U11, U13, and U15 age groups, including goaltenders. Participants will receive elite on-ice instruction from the Virden Oil Capitals coaching staff and players while focusing on skating, puck skills, shooting, game situations, and overall hockey development.
“Our goal is to provide a fun, challenging, and memorable experience for every participant,” said the Virden Oil Capitals. “Whether it’s a player’s first hockey school or they’ve attended every year, we want them to leave the weekend with improved skills, new friendships, and an even greater love for the game.”
In addition to quality instruction, the weekend offers something many young players look forward to each year—the opportunity to meet and learn from the Virden Oil Capitals players. Throughout the weekend, participants will interact with players both on and off the ice, making this a unique experience for aspiring young hockey players.
