Kirkup named MJHL player of the week

For the second time this season, Oil Caps forward Tyler Kirkup is the Recycle Everywhere MJHL player of the week.

Kirkup, 19, recorded six points (three goals, three assists) in three games for the Oil Capitals, who currently sit second in the MJHL standings. A product of the Virden hockey system, Kirkup (6-foot-1, 200-pounds) sits sixth in league scoring with 69 points.

The runner ups were 20-year-old forward Brayden Dale of the OCN Blizzard and 20-year-old forward Coltyn Bates of the Winkler Flyers.
