Oil Cap Cohen Lewko has been named an MJHL Star of the week for November 10th – 16th, 2025.
The 16-year-old forward put together a standout performance against the Portage Terriers Saturday night, recording a hat trick in just seven minutes during the second period. His first two goals came on the power play, and he later added what stood as the game-winning goal, showcasing both his scoring ability and offensive play.
Lewko continued his strong play later in the week, adding another goal against the Norman Blizzard at home. In total, he contributed four of Virden’s 17 goals across the two-game span, making a significant impact in both victories.
This impressive week highlights the young forward’s growing confidence and his important role in the Oil Caps offensive success. As of now, he sits at 8 goals, 5 assists, for 13 points in a total of 16 games played this season.
