McVeigh named MJHL player of the week

Oil Caps netminder Riley McVeigh has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL player of the week.

McVeigh, 19, was undefeated last week with a perfect 3-0 record as he helped the Oil Capitals advance to the next round of the MJHL playoffs. The native of Calgary was stellar reflected in a .954 save percentage, 1.33 GAA and one shutout.

The runners up were 20-year-old defenceman Mitch Dyck of the Winkler Flyers and 20-year-old blueliner Mark Taraschuk of the Steinbach Pistons.
