The Virden Oil Capitals are delighted to announce that the 2020/21 Season will get underway on October 9th.
The Hockey Operations Staff is working diligently to ensure the Return to Play Phase II guidelines are put in place to ensure the safety of all stakeholders.
Head Coach and General Manager Tyson Ramsey had this to say about the Return to Play.
“We are extremely excited about yesterday’s announcement from the MJHL regarding a start date for the 2020-2021 season”, said Ramsey. “The MJHL, its Board of Governors, and Hockey Manitoba and Public Health have worked hard to put a set of guidelines and protocols in place to have junior A hockey resume in Manitoba. As an organization, we are very grateful to have been granted this opportunity. We are working very hard to make sure we have everything in place to ensure a return that is enjoyable and, most importantly, safe for all involved. The support from our community, business partners, and fans has been exceptional to this point, and we are excited to have them all back safely to watch hockey. We can’t wait to get started!” added Ramsey.
The Hockey Club’s Main Camp is set to begin September 18th Weekend.
Below are some guidelines set up by the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, which have been approved by Hockey Manitoba, Sport Manitoba, and Manitoba Public Health.
