The Virden Oil Capitals won the battle against the Portage Terriers in round 2 of the 2022/23 MJHL McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Playoffs. The series went into game 7 where the Oil Capitals took the Victory 3-2 in double overtime! The Virden Oil Capitals have advanced and are going up against the Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL Turnbull Cup Finals!
Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-seven will take place starting this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 22nd and 23rd at the T.G Smith Centre in Steinbach, MB, and games 3 & 4 at Tundra Oil & Gas Place, Virden, MB on Wednesday and Thursday, April 26th and 27th.
Saturday, April 29th at Steinbach, May 1st at Virden, and May 3rd in Steinbach are all **IF NEDDED** games.
Tickets for the Oil Capitals first 2 home games of the series will go on sale Monday, April 24th at 9:00 AM at the Virden Oil Capitals Office (Office phone number: 204-748-4848; office hours are 9 am to 3:30 pm, closed over lunch)
Tickets will also be available for purchase from our local Valleyview Co-op Mini Mart and Virden Sport and Fashion. First come, first serve!

Youth Admission (8-17) – $10
Season ticket holders are to get a hold of the Oil Capitals Office for their tickets/seats.
The Oil Caps and the Pistons have had some competitive games all year. Throughout the 2022/23 regular season, the Caps have won 2 out of the 4 matchups against the Pistons.
December 2nd at Virden the Pistons won 7-2
December 4th at Steinbach the Pistons won 7-1
January 13th at Steinbach the Caps won 3-2
January 15th at Virden the Caps won 3-2
