All three MJHL teams lost on Day 1 of the MJHL/SJHL Showcase in Regina.
The first game saw Team Garbutt, which includes Oil Caps blueliners Justin Lee and Jayden Wojciechowski, along with forward Kolten Kanaski, fall 5-1 to Team Schwartz (SJHL). James McIsaac scored the lone goal for Team Garbutt in the loss.
The second game saw Team Zajac, which includes Oil Cap forwards Tyler Kirkup, Ben Dalke and Kyle Salaway, fall to Team Mitchell (SJHL) by a score of 4-2. Ashton Anderson and Daylon Campbell scored for Team Zajac in the defeat.
Lastly, Team Belfour, which consists of netminder Riley McVeigh and blueliner Tristen Cross, lost 4-2 to Team Kunitz (SJHL). Nolan McGuire and Drew Worrad scored for Team Belfour in the loss. McVeigh was the backup netminder in the loss.
