Oil Capitals Acquire Blake Sidoni

The Virden Oil Capitals have traded for Blake Sidoni, from the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL.

Sidoni, a 20-year-old from Trail, comes to Virden after spending the last year and a half in Trail, and previously played with the Beaver Valley NiteHawks of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.  In his time in the BCHL, Sidoni registered 2 goals and 10 assists for 12 points along with 16 penalty minutes in 44 games played with the Smoke Eaters. So far in the 2018/19 season, Sidoni has earned a goal and two assists for three points in 15 games played.

Oil Capitals Management: “Blake is a character guy who will be a leader in our dressing room. He has extensive playoff experience both in Trail and Beaver Valley previously.  Blake is looking forward to being here and we think he will be a valuable piece here moving forward, helping bring some more depth to our forward group.”

Sidoni has been traded for future considerations.
