The Virden Oil Capitals have a challenging week ahead of them with two games on the road and a game at home, they are hoping to get back on track with a few wins under their belts. They will travel tonight, Tuesday, November 5, to Winnipeg to battle against the Blues and Friday to Neepawa to verse the Natives. Saturday they come back home to take on the Blues again, in a very special Remembrance Day Tribute game. There will be a pre-game ceremony before face-off to salut our Veterans, First responders and Firefighters.
Tyson Ramsey, Head Coach of the Caps made a brief statement in regards to the upcoming week. “We are certainly looking forward to the week ahead. Looking at our opponents this week they are teams, that, if we play well, we can have some success against. We feel like we played a better team game in our last game and look to build in that moving forward.”
“The game on Saturday is a special one for sure as we get to pay tribute to all the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom and continue to do so. They are the reason we are able to be a part of this great game! We are looking forward to a great week!”
Tickets for Saturday night’s game are on sale now at the Oil Capital’s box office (204-748-4848).
