Oil Caps lose to Terriers 5-4 in OT

The Virden Oil Capitals dropped their pre-season opener to the Terriers by a score of 5-4 in overtime on Tuesday night in Portage.

Jack Einarson scored twice, while Owen Lee and Tanner Andrew netted the other tallies for the Oil Capitals in what was an all-rookie contest.

Riley Buhay and Dawson Green shared duties between the pipes as Buhay stopped 18 of 21 shots, while Green turned away 14 of 16 shots.

The Oil Capitals travel to Steinbach to take on the Pistons on Friday night.
