Oil Caps office staff changes

The Virden Oil Capitals are currently undergoing some changes to its office staff as we head into the Christmas break.

Teresa Heritage, the club’s long-time billet coordinator, will now have more of a hands-on approach when it comes to the day-to-day office operations with the club. She’ll also play a key role in game day duties effective early January.

Meanwhile, Lanny Stewart, who was hired as the club’s marketing and communications manager this past offseason, will soon be transitioning into a more ‘behind the scenes’ role, focusing more on media relations and the communicational aspects with the organization.

Heritage has been firmly entrenched in the day-to-day goings on with the club for several weeks now as the office staff transition began back in November.

“Teresa has been integral to the organization since the club’s inception and this transition is a natural fit for her,” said Jamie Hodson, director of business and hockey operations with the club. “The transition for Lanny will be beneficial for him as well as he’ll be able to focus on his strengths, which is the communications and media relation aspects with the organization.”

Just a reminder: the Oil Caps are taking on the Steinbach Pistons tonight at Tundra Oil and Gas Place. It’s Ag Appreciation Night! Puck drop: shortly after 7:30 p.m.
