Oil Caps remain undefeated; defeat Wolverines

The Virden Oil Capitals continue to roll early this MJHL season as the club defeated the Wolverines 5-2 in Waywayseecappo on Tuesday night.

Kyle Salaway, Darren Gisti, Drayson Skulmoski, Jesse Korytko and Jeran Knorr scored for the Oil Caps, who now have three straight victories to start the 2017-2018 campaign.

Riley McVeigh stopped 23 of 25 shots for the win between the pipes for Virden.

Up next on the schedule for Virden are two straight home games on Thursday against the Winnipeg Blues and on Friday against the Swan Valley Stampeders.
