Player Profile: Hunter Cloutier

Over the whole month of August, we will be showcasing the returning players, with a: Returning Player profile. With camp soon around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to give the fans a little background on the 17 returning players from last years team.

The next player profile is Hunter Cloutier.

Cloutier, a Winnipeg, MB native is entering his fourth and final season with the Virden Oil Capitals. The Capitals selected the 5’9” forward in the third round (31stoverall) in the 2015 bantam draft. Cloutier’s first season with the Virden Oil Capitals he only found the back of the net six times and chipped in with 13 assists. In his second year Cloutier took off and saw his goal production climb from six to 24 and finished third in team scoring with 49 points. This past season he set a new career high in goals (29) and points (65) and led the team in scoring.

Cloutier will be the driver of the bus when it comes to the offence this year, and with a lot of returning forwards upfront the expectations will be high for the top six.
