Belcher didn’t get off to the best of starts in his early days as an Oil Cap, registering six goals, and nine points in 50 games.

In his second season Belcher started to show his potential on the score sheet finding the back of the net 14 times in his sophomore campaign and finished the season with 43 points, good for 6th in team scoring.
