The next returning profile is Owen Blocker.

Blocker is the last of the 20-year old’s, the Oil Capitals will carry five this season, barring trades. Blocker an Oakbank, MB native will enter his second season with the team this upcoming season.

Last year in 46 games he chipped in with 16 goals, and added 15 assists for 31 points, finishing in the top 10 in team scoring.

Blocker found his way to Virden last season after two games with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League.

He spent parts of four seasons in the WHL with the Broncos, and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. A total of 159 games, Blocker no doubt brings valued experience to the already veteran Oil Caps roster.
