Virden Oil Capitals Hosting 1st Annual Organizational AGM

The Virden Oil Capitals Organization is hosting our 1st annual Organizational AGM this coming September 27th at 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place.  Preceding the meeting, attendees are welcome to watch practice from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place.  Season ticket holders, fans of all ages, marketing partners, and anyone who would like to get to know about the hockey club is welcome to come.

The hockey club will be introducing their players and staff to all in attendance.  The Virden Oil Capitals Board will also be in attendance at the AGM and will help answer any questions attendees may have. The club will give an update on different facets of the organization:  this year’s team makeup on the ice, some expenses/income of running a Junior “A” organization, and future endeavours the team is pursuing both on and off the ice.

“This is something that we have been striving to do for some time as a board and as an organization.  I think this is great for our fans and marketing partners to see some of the inner workings of the hockey club.  From our on-ice product, and what the future holds for the club, both on and off the ice.  I think this will be a good way to have engagement from our fans and our partners, we would like them to be a stronger part of the process moving forward as well.  As an organization, we welcome feedback to what we as a hockey club can do better for our players, our fans and our community as a whole.  This will be a good first step in this process, and is something we will look to grow on a yearly basis.”  Stated, Director of Business and Hockey Operations, Jamie Hodson.
