Whitecloud Named Cole Hamblin Playoff MVP

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals are proud to announce that defenseman Zach Whitecloud has been named the Cole Hamblin Playoff Most Valuable Player. 

Whitecloud played huge minutes during the Oil Caps first round seven game series with the Winnipeg Blues and chipped in offensively scoring twice and adding three assists. 

“Zach was very consistent during the playoffs,” said Head Coach Troy Leslie. 

“He logged a lot of ice time against the Blues best players.”

The award, is presented annually to the Oil Capital deemed Most Valuable to the hockey club during the playoffs. 

The award is in memory of former Oil Cap Cole Hamblin who died of cancer in November of 2014.
