Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals are proud to announce that 1999-born defensemen Jayden Wojciechowski has committed to the club for the 2017-2018 season and beyond.
The 6’1, 185-pound product of Thunder Bay Ontario, spent last season with the Thunder Bay Kings in the LJHL AAA Midget league.
In 24 games, Wojciechowski scored 7 goals and added 18 assists for 25 points for the Kings in a very productive season.
“Jayden is an offensive minded defenseman with a good hockey IQ. He manages the puck well, and makes good decisions under pressure. Jayden will fit right into our back end and give us a mobile, puck moving defenseman now and into the future. Jayden is aware of his defensive responsibilities as well, and has shown strong maturity and growth over the last 12 months in this area of his game. On top of these attributes, Jayden is a well-rounded individual with good character.” says Chad Leslie, Director of Player Personnel for the Oil Capitals.
