Former Virden Oil Capital Ty Edmonds named WHL Goaltender of the Week

Virden,MB- The Western Hockey League announced today that Prince George Cougars and former Virden Oil Capitals goaltender, Ty Edmonds has been named the WHL Goaltender of the Week and the league nominee for Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending December 18, 2016.

Last week Edmonds went 3-0 with a 1.66 GAA and a .932 save percentage. This season he has gone 20-5-1-0 with a 2.07 GAA and a .925 save percentage and 1 shutout. Edmonds is a three time recipient of the WHL Goaltender of the Week Award in his career. 

Edmonds played 26 games for the Virden Oil Capitals in the 2012-2013 season. He had a 3.46 GAA and .887 save percentage the 2012-2013 season.
