The Virden Oil Caps get back into the win column against the Dauphin Kings.
The first period started off with an early goal by Captain, Logan Rands to give the Oil Caps the lead. Dauphin matched that goal to tie it up 1-1. The tie wasn’t held long as Dauphin’s Luke Morris put up his second goal of the game before the first ended.
Oil Cap Braden Fischer with his 23rd of the season assisted by Halliday & Buydens started off the scoring in the second period to make the score 2-2. Later in the period Braden Fischer scored his second of the game at 14:09 to put the Oil Caps up by one.
The third period saw no goals giving the Virden Oil Capitals a 3-2 victory.
Newly acquired Goaltender Bailey Monteith with his first win as an Oil Cap, stopping 29 out of 31 shots on net!
