Platt, who hails from Regina, is playing his first season with the Pat C’s and has an impressive rookie season to this point. The 6’1″ 180 lb forward plays a heavy game and has 21 points (8 goals, 13 assists) in 31 games and also leads his team in penalty minutes with 70.
GM and Head Coach Tyson Ramsey was very happy to sign the big forward from Regina, “We are very excited about what Rhett will bring to our program here in Virden”, said Ramsey. “He is a 200 ft player that plays with grit and determination and also has the ability to score. He is a power forward type player that will be very hard to play against and we are very proud that he chose to come here to Virden to start his junior hockey career. We would like to welcome Rhett and his family to the Oil Caps organization.”
