Nov. 4th against the Swan Valley Stampeders

After a hard-fought, back and forth battle the Virden Oil Capitals fell short to the Swan Valley Stampeders in Thursday night’s game.

During the first period the Stampeders started the game off with a goal at 10:26 and towards the end of the period forward Dylan Halliday scored his 9th of season and the first of the night for Oil Caps assisted by Buydens and Humminuk tying up the game. 1-1

Heading into the second, Swan took the lead with Justin Keck scoring almost 4 minutes in however, Carson Buydens scored his 8th of the season assisted by David Bielik at 5:32 tying the game up yet again. 2-2

The score continued to go back and forth early into the final frame with Oil Cap Nathan McInnis scoring at 3:04 and Stampeders Adam Ward scoring a minute later tying the game back up 3-3.

During the second half of the final frame Swan took the lead with back-to-back goals.

Dylan Halliday scored his second of the night and 10th of the season at 16:18 assisted by Branden Humminuk and Carson Buydens.

The Stampeders scored at 19:59 ending the game 6-4 for the Stampeders.

The next action for the Virden Oil Capitals will be Saturday, Nov. 6th in Swan!
