OIL CAPS ACQUIRE VETERAN NETMINDER

The Oil Capitals are happy to announce they have acquired veteran goaltender Ethan Peterson from the Neepawa Natives.  The 6’2″ 195lb Peterson hails from Park River, ND and won a MJHL and Anavet Cup championship last season with the Portage Terriers. In exchange for the goaltender the Oil Caps have traded 17 year old forward prospect Brandon Ambrozik from the Winnipeg Thrashers and a PDF.

“We are extremely happy to add a goaltender of Ethan’s calibre to our hockey club.  He brings experience and more importantly championship experience to our group and will solidify our goaltending moving forward for the rest of the season.” said Head Coach and GM Tyson Ramsey.

Peterson will join the Oil Caps this week for practice and will be available for their next game on Friday vs the Selkirk Steelers at Tundra Oil & Gas Place.  Game time is 7:30 pm
