Salaway is MJHL player of the week runner-up

Kyle Salaway’s solid play of late has resulted in him receiving an MJHL player of the week runner-up nod.

The 20-year-old left winger had two goals and five assists in two games against the Dauphin Kings this past Friday and Saturday night.

Salaway, from Estevan, Sask., has six goals and 18 points in 16 games this season (as of Nov. 7).

Kuczek named player of the week

Dexter Kuczek of the Winnipeg Blues was named this week’s Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.

The 20-year-old forward recorded nine points in four games for the Blues, who are currently riding a three-game winning streak.

Kuczek, who hails from Winnipeg, currently sits second in the MJHL scoring race with 34 points (15-19) in 20 games.

Salaway joined 20-year-old goaltender Troy Martyniuk of the Winkler Flyers as runner-ups.
