Media Release: The Virden Oil Capitals Hockey Club Board of Directors.
The Virden Oil Capitals Hockey Club will not be renewing the contract for General Manager and Head Coach, Troy Leslie, for the 2019/2020 season.
The organization would like to thank Troy Leslie for his dedication to the team for the past 7 seasons. Troy helped lead the team to 6 straight playoff appearances and a league championship final, and helped develop many players to the next level of hockey and careers beyond the game.
The Hockey Club wishes Troy all the best in his future endeavours.
The team will begin the process of accepting applications for an individual for the General Manager and Head Coach position, effective immediately.
The Oil Capitals Hockey Club will continue to build championship contending hockey teams, all the while developing quality young hockey players.
