Oil Cap Colten Worthington has been named an MJHL Star of the week for January 26th – February 1st, 2026.
The 18 year old defenceman continued to establish himself and continued to play a key role in the Oil Caps driving force last week, turning in two multi-point performances that played a significant role in the team’s continued momentum. His offensive contributions were felt throughout the lineup, as he consistently created scoring chances and delivered in key moments.
In a dramatic comeback victory over Steinbach, Worthington rose to the occasion when the game was on the line. He scored the crucial game tying goal to spark the rally, then followed it up by recording the primary assist on the overtime winner. He rounded out the performance with two additional helpers, finishing the night with a standout four point effort that highlighted his vision, playmaking ability, and poise under pressure. Worthington’s strong week further emphasized his importance to the Oil Caps attack and his growing confidence at this stage of the season.
