Bodie Bites Former Team

November 25

Virden, MB – Drake Bodie wanted to make a statement against his former team on Wednesday night.

The Thompson, Manitoba product did just that picking up 4 assists on route to a 5-0 Oil Caps victory over the Dauphin Kings.

The Oil Caps scored the only goal of a relatively even first period, Dylan Thiessen converted on the power play for his 10th of the season.

The Caps would add another power play marker early in the 2nd as Mack Hardy found the back of the net, and it wasn’t more than 2 minutes later and Davis Ross snuck to the back door to make it 3-0.

The Caps outshot the Kings 23-3 in the middle frame.

In the third, Devan Schram continued his hot streak potting a pair of goals, both in beautiful fashion.

Sean Kuehn was excellent in goal tonight turning aside all 33 shots he faced for the shutout.

Jarred Schammerhorn and Connor Shaw split duties in the Kings net, combining for 35 saves.

These two teams will meet again on Saturday night at the CUP in Dauphin.

Next up for the Oil Caps, is a Friday night affair vs the Winnipeg Blues.
