California Dreaming for Edmonds

San Jose, California – Former Oil Caps netminder Ty Edmonds will wrap up a week in California today at the San Jose Sharks summer development camp. 

Edmonds, who played 26 games in Oil Country in the 12/13 season has spent the last three years with the WHL’s Prince George Cougars. 

With the Cougars, the Winnipeg native has appeared in 161 games, posting a .896 SVP and a 3.45 GAA in that span. 

Edmonds, who becomes the 2nd Oil Cap to be invited to an NHL Development Camp (Patrick D’Amico – NJ Devils) is set to enter his final season of junior hockey. 

The Sharks, who are coming off their first Stanley Cup Final appearance, opened camp on Friday July 8th and will wrap it up this afternoon. 

Edmonds, was the 2nd MJHL alumni member to head to an NHL camp this summer. Portage Terrier graduate Brad Bowles spent last week with the Calgary Flames.
