Cusmano Lifts Caps Over Wayway

February 10

Virden, MB – Dylan Cusmano had a goal and an assist as the Oil Capitals knocked off the Waywayseecappo Wolverins 3-2 on Wednesday night.

Patrick Zubick made his 15th start in goal and turned aside 29 shots in the winning effort.

The Caps jumped out to a 3-0 lead with goals from Cusmano, Devan Schram and Zach Whitecloud before the Wolverines began to claw back.

With the Oil Caps finding themselves in some late 3rd period penalty trouble the Wolverines got a PP marker to cut the lead to one and then another one shortly after the penalty expired to make things interesting.

The one goal gap would be as close at the Wolverines would get as the Caps pick up their 31st win of the season.

Virden is back in action on Friday when they head on the road to Winnipeg to take on the Blues.

Game time is 7:30!
