Oil Caps Add D-Man

September 14

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals have acquired 19 year old defenseman Royce Rossignol from the Amherst Ramblers of the Maritime Hockey League for future considerations.

The Surrey, BC product comes to Virden after spending last season with the Dryden Ice Dogs of the SIJHL where he was teammates with current Oil Cap, Dylan Cusmano.

Prior to his time in Ontario, Rossignol spent time in Flin Flon (SJHL), and Cowichan Valley (BCHL) as well as playing a handful of games in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

In 42 games last season, the 6’0 rearguard scored once and added 8 assists while compiling 77 penalty minutes.
