Virden, MB – The Oil Caps hit the road on Friday morning for a three-game road trip on the weekend. The first two games of the weekend were against OCN – the Caps dropped both of these games 2-0. After a tough couple of battles against OCN, the Caps next stop was Swan Valley to take on the Stampeders.
The Caps found their scoring touch again, beating the Stampeders, 4-2 and earning two of the three stars; Second Star – Mack Hardy and First Star – Ben Dalke.
The Caps goals were scored by Ben Dalke assisted by Mack Hardy, Carter Cowlthorp assisted by Tristen Cross and Same Schultz, Ben Dalke assisted by Tyler Kirkup and Mack Hardy, and Tyler Kirkup unassisted.
After the weekend the Caps sit with a 6-4-0-2 record. Next game is Wednesday, October 19 against Neepawa Natives – next home game is the Halloween game Saturday, October 22 vs Neepawa Natives.
