Returning Player Profile: Kyle Kozma

Over the whole month of August, we will be showcasing the returning players with a: Returning Player profile. With camp soon around the corner, we thought it would be a good idea to give the fans a little background on the 17 returning players from last year’s team.

The next returning player profile is goaltender Kyle Kozma.

Kozma,19, is a Vaughan, Ontario native, and is entering his first full season with the Oil Capitals. Kozma came to the team last October after he was let go by the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The 6’3″ netminder posted respectable numbers last season for the Oil Caps, boasting a 2.96 Goals Against Average and a .896 Save Percentage, and finished the season with a 13-6-1 record.

The starting job should be Kozma’s to lose with Ethan Peterson aging out after last season.

It will be interesting to see how Kozma builds off last year, as he will now get a chance to go through the main camp as he prepares for his first full season in an Oil Caps uniform.
