Returning Player Profile: Logan Rands

Over the whole month of August, we will be showcasing the returning players, with a: Returning Player profile. With camp soon around the corner we thought it would be a good idea to give the fans a little background on the 17 returning players from last years team.

The first player profile is returning defenceman Logan Rands.

Rands, a Portage la Prairie, MB native enjoyed a nice year last year, and provided some offence from the blueline. He found the back of the net twice and racked up 25 assists for a 27-point total.

Rands had this to say last week about the upcoming season

“I think we have a really good team”, said Rands. We have a lot of guys returning, a good group of forwards, the back end is a little young, but I think we are all excited for the season to start hopefully next month” added Rands.

This will be Rands third campaign with the Oil Capitals, and he saw his point total grow with each season that passes. In his first season is produced for 16 points, and as I mentioned above a new career high 27 points last season.
