Virden Oil Capitals Announce Season Ticket Pricing Update for the 2026-27 Season
VIRDEN, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals are committed to providing our fans, families, sponsors, and community with an exciting and competitive hockey experience each season. As preparations continue for our 15th season in the community, we want to be transparent about changes to our 2026-27 season ticket packages.
Like many organizations across Canada, the Oil Capitals have experienced significant increases in operating expenses over the past several years. Rising costs in transportation, fuel, accommodations, equipment, officiating, insurance, and day-to-day team operations have all contributed to the increased cost of running a Junior A hockey program.
While we have worked hard to absorb many of these increases and keep ticket prices as low as possible for our fans, a modest adjustment to season ticket pricing has become necessary to ensure the continued success and sustainability of the organization.
“Our goal has always been to provide the best possible experience for our players, fans, and community,” said the Board of Directors. “We understand that any price increase is important to our supporters, and this decision was not made lightly. The additional revenue generated through season ticket sales will help us continue to operate a competitive program while maintaining the high standards our fans have come to expect.”
The support of our fans is the foundation of our organization. The incredible atmosphere at Tundra Oil & Gas Place throughout last season, including our run to the Turnbull Cup Final, demonstrated the passion and pride that exists within the Virden and Westman communities.
We sincerely thank our season ticket holders, sponsors, volunteers, billets, and fans for their continued support. Your commitment allows us to continue building a team and an organization that our community can be proud of.
