Virden Oil Capitals Dominate at Tundra Oil & Gas Place in Back-to-Back Victories

This past week marked a significant stride for the Virden Oil Capitals as they showcased their grit in back-to-back home games at Tundra Oil & Gas Place. The Oil Capitals, with their driven offence and sturdy defence, manifested a level of play that left their fans at Tundra Oil & Gas Place in awe.

On Friday, October 20th, the arena was set against the Swan Valley Stampeders. Right from the onset, the Oil Capitals seized control, displaying a blend of tactical insight and physical dominance.

They steamrolled the Stampeders with a staggering 10-1 victory, a testament to their readiness and a hint of the storm that was to follow.

Without losing momentum, the Oil Capitals carried their triumphant spirit into Saturday, October 21st, facing off against the Winnipeg Freeze. The narrative was no different; the Oil Capitals demonstrated their superiority once more by clinching a 10-2 win.

Following the Oil Caps’ 2 home games over the weekend, on October 24th and 25th, the Oil Caps participated in the MJHL Showcase held in Winnipeg at Sevan Oaks Sportsplex. Their first encounter saw them facing off against the Winnipeg Blues, clinching a solid 7-3 victory. However, the subsequent match against the Portage Terriers ended in a 4-2 defeat for the Oil Caps.

The Oil Caps look forward to continuing their forceful season this weekend as they head on their northern road trip to Swan Valley and OCN.
