Einarson, the 20 year old Forward from Gimli, MB, is season veteran for the Oil Caps and has been with us for three seasons. In the month of February, he played 11 games and had 13 total points (6 goals and 7 assists). He had an impressive night playing against the Swan Valley Stampeders when he put up two goals and one assist, including the shootout winner making it a 6-5 win! He was awarded the 1st Star of the night. Einarson was also awarded the Most Improved Player at our recent Oil Capitals Award’s banquet.
Tyson Ramsey, Head Coach and General Manager of the Oil Capitals is very pleased with Jack’s efforts and what he has brought to the table come game days. “Jack has had a great second half of the season. His ability to control the puck, particularly in small spaces, is second to none and his high IQ allows him to make plays that others don’t see. He is starting to have some success on the scoresheet and his strong work in the face off circle allows us to start with the puck more often than not. Jack is a very, very deserving recipient of the player of the month for February.”
