The Virden Oil Capitals would like to invite you to our 2019 Spring Camp that will take place from May 10th through May 12th, 2019 at The St. Louis Park Rec Center in St. Louis Park Minnesota. Camp check-in will begin the morning of Friday, May 10th, 2019. The camp will be comprised 1999-2002’s competing amongst its own peers.
We are looking for hockey players that want to pursue a Junior A Hockey Career in Canada, playing in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with the Virden Oil Capitals. At the end of camp, 1stand 2ndteam all-stars will be chosen and recognized. The top players from camp will be invited to our Main Camp in Virden at the end of August.
On ice practice sessions will begin Friday following registration. Scrimmages will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Along with on ice sessions, we will have off-ice dryland training, and information sessions. A more detailed schedule will be provided closer to the camp date. Every player is guaranteed 6 ice times. All-Star teams will be selected at the end of camp. The top players from this camp will be selected to compete for spot on the hockey club, at the Oil Capitals main camp in August. A registration fee of $350 will be assessed to cover camp costs. This fee includes a camp jersey and other Oil Capitals paraphernalia. Our coaching, management, and scouting staff will be operating the camp for the duration of the weekend.
Early bird price: $250 until May 1st. Registration deadline is May 1st!
Midget, and High School players from the 2018-2019 season will be required to wear a mandatory full-face shield and mouth guard. Our team’s training staff will be on site all weekend to deal with any medical problems that may arise.
