Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals continue to fire on all cylinders, producing 12 goals on route to their fourth straight victory.

Devan Schram had a break out night with a hat-trick and three assists as the Caps knocked off Neepawa 12-3 in front of 850+ fans at Tundra Oil & Gas Place on Friday night.

Drake Bodie introduced himself to the home fans quickly potting two goals in the opening 1:31 of the game.

The Oil Caps would not look back from that point, leading 7-1 after one….10-1 after two and 12-3 when the final buzzer sounded.

Ten Oil Caps had multi-point nights while all but six Caps found the scoresheet.

Bodie would finish the night with 4 points (2G-2A). Davis Ross, Dylan Thiessen, Ben Dalke and Zach Whitecloud all had three point nights while Tyler Kirkup, Carter Cowlthorp, Cole Oliver and Colton Spicer finished with 2 points on the game sheet.

Patrick Zubick made his home debut and turned aside 27 shots while the Natives goalies combined to make 34 saves on 46 shots.

The Oil Caps powerplay went 4 for 6 on the night while the Natives converted on 1 of their 2 powerplay chances.

The Oil Caps will finish this stretch of three games in three nights tomorrow in Steinbach.
