Dalke Commits to University of Manitoba Bison’s Hockey Team

Dalke, the former Oil Capital standout, has officially cracked the U of M Bison’s Men’s Hockey Team’s lineup.  Dalke had an illustrious career in the “Oil Capital” and  finished with 92 goals, 95 assists, and 187 points in 223 regular season games played with the Oil Capital’s.  Dalke was an integral piece to the Oil Capital’s league final’s appearance vs the Steinbach Pistons in 2018, along with being the team’s well respected captain for the 2018/19 season.

Dalke, from La Salle Manitoba, played four seasons in Virden.  Dalke spent his 4 year tenure with Murray and Cheryl Foster as his billet family during his time with the Oil Capitals.

Dalke added, “It’s always been a goal of mine to continue my education and I’m extremely fortunate I now have the opportunity to do that close to home.  I’d like to thank the Virden Oil Capitals program for helping me develop as a hockey player, both on and off the ice during my 4 year tenure there and also giving me the opportunity and stepping stone to make it to the next level.”

“Ben was a big part of the team’s success over his time here.  He was a great leader last year as captain, and over his whole tenure here.  Ben was a role model for his teammates during his time here and all the guys looked up to him, young and old.  You just couldn’t ask for a better person and teammate.  Ben had a standout career in Virden and we wish him nothing but great success with U of M,” added Head Coach and GM, Tyson Ramsey.

The Oil Capitals would like to wish fan favorite and ex captain, Ben Dalke, all the best with the U of M Bison’s Hockey Team.
