Virden, MB – As MJHL players took to the ice this week for games and practices, they did so with a heavy heart after news spread about the serious injury Portage Terrier defenseman Braden Pettinger suffered in a game on Sunday.
Since the injury, the MJHL family has stepped up in a big way.
Members of the MJHL Officials crew have started a Go Fund Me Page in order to help raise money for the family, while his hometown community of Souris is hosting a benefit social on December 26th. (More details to come)
To show our support, the Oil Capitals will donate a portion of the proceeds from the 50/50 sales on Thursday night vs Wayway to the fundraising efforts.
