Oil Caps Land Speiss

Virden, MB – The Virden Oil Capitals have acquired 95 born defenseman Nolan Speiss from the Swan Valley Stampeders for future considerations. 

Speiss, a native of Neepawa joins the Oil Caps after splitting last season between the OCN Blizzard and Swan Valley. In 54 games, the D-man had 7 points. 

Standing 6’3, the former 5th round draft pick of the Brandon Wheat Kings will add some size and experience on the back end. 

“We look forward to getting Nolan into our lineup” said Head Coach Troy Leslie.  

“He’s another guy who will add some size and depth to our back end.”

Speiss is expected to arrive in Virden in the coming days and could be in the lineup as early as Sunday.
