Q & A with Tyler Kirkup

How much are you enjoying the season thus far?

The season is going great. We have a great team and I love coming to the rink and playing with this group of guys.

How much does it mean to you to play junior hockey in your hometown?

It means a lot. I love being able to play in front of my friends and family every night. It’s always a great atmosphere playing here.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years…

In 10 years if I’m not still playing hockey, I could see myself either being a paramedic or a pilot. After I’m done traveling around the world, maybe I’d get settled down in a nice house in the country somewhere.

Tell the readers something they don’t know about you…

I love playing the guitar.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would definitely go back to Africa. No specific spot, but I’ve been to Kenya before and the reason I would go back is because they have some of the nicest most genuine people I’ve ever met, and I really miss being there in that environment.
